In the process of re-organizing I decided to take photo's of all the many uncompleted projects I have hanging out. Many of them just need quilted and I am going to make a pledge to work on these this year without starting too many new projects. Admitting the problem is a start, right? So here goes. Fair warning this is a photo heavy post.

Congratulations :) super job. I also want to do a blog but haven't gotten my butt in gear to do it yet. I would love to document projects that I have done with my grand daughter and also many that I have done and LMBO many I have started but not finished yet. I will be checking in from time to time to be inspired.

DeleteI have twice that many projects and hope to finish lots this year too. Working on the mystery quilt now. Enjoyed seeing your quilts. Love the kaleidoscope one. ReplyDeleteWe just need to work a little at a time. I get overwhelmed thinking of all of them so I am going to pick one and work on it until its completed and go from there. Good luck with yours as well.
DeleteLoved your before and after organizing pix! Your projects are lovely. Bet you are surprised how they looked when you grouped all the pix. Is the kaleidoscope a whack n stack? Never done one, but your blocks just made me think if the description. Love the flag twist. I started to organize my space, and got part way then (typically of me) turned my focus on something else that had to be done, and never got back, and it functions even more poorly in its partial state then ever! Thanks for the inspiration!

DeleteHooray for you for taking photos and organizing them all. I started a blog to document my quilting and I am ashamed to say that I don't post as often as I would like due to not having taken the photos. A blog is a great way to look back and see how much progress you have made over the year.

DeleteGreat idea! Wondering if you quilt those king sized quilts (it seems you do a lot of king sized quilts) on your quilt frame or some other way. I have a B-Line frame with my Janome 6500 on it but I can't do really big quilts on it without problems of throat space when I get near the end. (ie the roll gets bigger and the quilting space gets smaller).
ReplyDeleteActually I have only done small lap and baby quilts on it. I am told you could do a king but I fear that would frustrate the heck out of me. I have someone with a true long arm do quilts that big. I am going to quilt Celtic Solstice myself using a panto pattern that is about 5" tall. I hope it works out, time will tell.
DeleteYou mention "many small pieces" on one, but if you've done Celtic Solstice, you can do anything, right? I bet it won't seem as bad now. Also, I made that tote and I use it all the time. You're not to far from finishing it -- get it done and you'll have so much fun using it, it'll keep you going on other projects!
